Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
