Barça to Host Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga 30 months since relocating for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
