David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.

The comedian

Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an investigation into claims about questionable actions towards female individuals.

The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
