Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative stated in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical problem.
