Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

The rising star has impressive online presence

Kai Trump will have plenty of high-profile backers when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, an avid golfer, operates several international courses and regularly plays against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she revealed.

She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He basically advised me to play and relax," she continued.

"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.

"He is the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face multiple the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, particularly reaching youth audiences.

The young star maintains millions of followers and just introduced her own fashion and living company.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
